Applicable guarantees

Following receipt of your home, the protection offered is of variable duration. More specifically, the warranty applies for a period of one year for the repair of existing and non-apparent defects or poor workmanship.

 

As for hidden defects, the guarantee can apply three years after taking possession of the home.

 

As for design, construction or construction defects as well as ground defects, you are protected for five years following the end of the work.

 

Interesting fact: the warranty is transferable. Indeed, if you sell your home during the warranty period, the new owner will benefit from it for the remaining period.

1 year | Non-apparent defect

A non-apparent defect is a defect that is not easy to see and cannot be discovered without a specific check carried out by a professional. Non-compliance with regulations or manufacturer directives is often associated with this type of deficiency.


Examples: shingle nails outside the nailing zone, faulty electrical circuit breaker, breakage of a plumbing device, breakage of a wall-mounted heat pump, breakage of an electrical device (switch, thermostat, heater, etc.), height of railing too low, absence of smoke alarm, exterior cladding whose slats, moldings or other accessories are loose and noisy, exterior cladding whose parts/accessories lack caulking, flashing membrane that is too thin, etc.
